Alright so I have found one of my dream cars, a 1991 RX-7 FC. Unfortunately, the car needs to Acquire a salvage title which may take a while and both my dad and I are car enthusiast but he is telling me that this car is too much trouble if I have to acquire a salvage title for it. It has a 13B that is NA and another thing that I am unable to do is test drive the car on the highway since it does not have any plates. I was only able to test drive it at an empty lot but i noticed that the shifter made some type of rattling noise, almost like a clanky sound. This is my first rotary car but its something I have always admired. I have worked hard by working two part time jobs and going to school, now im planning on getting a 3rd to upgrade an FC i will run into. This FC is flawless and has not been abused nor drifted

If its a salvage title it could have been in a wreck or left sitting for a long time, which is as bad as racing or drifting. The motor will have to be rebuilt, rotarys need to be rebuilt most of the time around 100k miles. With an old car you'll need deep pockets for parts and lots of time to install them, a car at that age will most likely need a lot of work. If you're dreaming of a perfect FC to cruise and get sideways you'll need a lot of money to get it back in good shape, engine and trans work bushings all over, sensors, wiring, not to mention the cash you'll need to tune the suspension and engine and remove rust.

Hi It is there for a very good reason the chassis is the usual issue when they are scrapped if bent or misaligned which most are of this age if they have been involved in an accident the rust and age have taken there toll on this car so leave well alone.

don't be a fool this car has problems far beyond what anyone can repair.
