LOL. You guys are hilarious. My experience with Mazda in the last seven years is that corporate is strict on accessories. They only want what is tied to the manufacturer in the strictest sense of the word. Mazda is a small stand alone car company, quality control is tantamount in order not to have recalls of any kind for the brand. The bean counters and risk takers may have made a decision in this regard because this is not what they do. Mazda is anal around any thing that adds to the sole product they manufacturer, the car. Then if anything is flawed or doesn't work properly then its out of warranty, its not a Mazda sourced problem. I hope this helps.

Best.

How would any of us know "why"?? Take it to a dealership and order the part and have it fixed. Problem solved.

EDIT:

You know what you moron. WTF is the difference "why"?? It's was taken out. Period. Maybe it was defective...maybe it broke. Why would you care "why"? Fu(king fix it if you want or don't plug in your iPod. That being said, I think you're too stupid to own a car. Take the bus jacka$$.

That is all...have a nice day :-D

EDIT #2:

She said it's ok. I'm leaving the basement now. It's a factory option on that car. It was fu(ked up, so they removed it. Why is irrelevant. It's not there. So replace it. Wasn't worth the time to even ask the question.

Incompetent idiot.

Did you buy a factory recertified car? I'm wondering if this was something they did as a part of the recertification process...

Take it to the dealer you bought it from and see if he can help...
